You know what’s pretty cool after a hard day’s work ?
Bet you wanna say taking a hot shower, resting in peace and watching TV with a loved one…but it ain’t any of these so-called American Dreams ! Its just that you’re coming back from work, on the way home you take a glance at the DVD store and voila ! a piece of beauty which you’ve been expecting to come out in the coming two months, is in the store ahead of schedule !
Yeah ! as I was saying, this piece of beauty was called Dark Sector and just thinking of it’s graphical features made me wanna go jump jump !
Well…the fact is that I bought the game, came home, inserted the DVD, waited for the autorun to pop up and then…it hit me in the crotch as if I’d told a girl she was Fat !
The game was fucking pirated ahead of the official release! not that I’m against buying pirated foreign games…it’s just that it was Pirated and most of the time these easy-to-find-games-on-the-Torrent prove to be worthless…most of them have some kind of damn bugs that rips you of your energy and leaves you with a heart broken and an ass kicked !
Anyway…I installed the game (not to mention that it was way easier than installing those damn games which use those Goddamned Star-Force Locks !) and then I found out what the hell was wrong with that piece of shit ! Not even the game was pirated, but the damn scumbags who had done the evil act of pirating had pirated the Russian version…and Russian is the kind of language that I never gave a shit about!
The game was fucked up everywhere! Evenin the menus I got lost…didn’t have any idea what the damn button would lead me to! With any way possible I managed to start the game and then I drowned! Despite the fact that the game was another duplicator of the so-called Resident Evil 4 and it’s over the shoulder system, but it kinda felt good to play it…
You gamers know what the hell I’m saying! The game handled pretty good…I was there, kicking ass and taking names! Beating the crap out of the bad guys, dogs and zombies altogether! There even was a glaive that let me do some incredible shit like beheading the bad guys from a damn long distance!
And then…the Game crashed! That simple!
Imagine that you buy a game…you play it…you accomplish a lot of missions and the game is so hot that you won’t mind saving it and the checkpoint system of the game is somehow fucked up and it doesn’t save the progress and then the game just gets fucked up !
You couldn’t imagine what I’m telling you right now! It’s like after several hours of copy/past ing your homework from one of the friends (who also has copy/paste d his homework from another one! and so goes on and on!) suddenly the notebook starts to burn and in a sec, turns into ash! That’s how it is!
I went straight to the Net and I shit you not, there were fucktons of bugs and fixes for the pirated version! Be it the Batch files ready to be executed or the long list of fix requests posted by guys even more desperate than me!
I remember that the same thing happened back when Commandos: Strike Force was coming out and the list of games pirated like this goes on and on!
What matters most is the fact that pirated games aren’t even supposed to be used by guys like me and you. Some of us are in countries in which the Copyright rules are taken into consideration but what about a country like Iran?
Banned from the global commerce, from the technological improvements and advancements throughout the world and literally banned from everything that makes advancement possible…that’s the country I’m living in and am proud of being in it.
Most of us Iranian Gamers have come to the decision that because of the boycotting issue we have the right to play pirated softwares be it Microsoft’s Windows OSs or Games like Mirror’s Edge or even Dark Sector.
The truth is that deep there somewhere we’re feeling the guilt building up and up .we are a poor nation, made poor by the policies of those who want something from us which we can’t bring ourselves to give : Our Freedom
Made poor by the mistakes of our fathers…Made poor by the policies implemented on us and obeying them as rules of the lord himself…
And…Most of All, Made Poor by the inattention and inconsideration of our selves…we’re a nation pretty careless and selfish…giving damns about our own rights, our own freedom and of course our own success.
Yes! you know and have always known what I’m talking about…I’m the kind of man who is pretty good at saying bullshit like these and then when done, would go out and buy a couple more games on the way home ! Respecting the will of others is considered a joke around here and giving it the finger is supposed to be the right thing!
This has proved to be a matter of poverty…both in culture and in economy…when it comes to poverty these so-called modern and civilized people would kill each other if it’s considered to be the way of survival and what’d you expect from us ? Who’ve been the tools of every existed government of our time and have shed a lot of blood to get where we are now…
And where are we? The same place we’ve been before the revolution but with one bright difference: by our inconsideration and selfish acts we’ve darken the beloved name of Islam and made people think of Islam as the religion of the Poor, the Terrorism and the Hatred…
I’m Ashamed of myself in everyway possible…
most of us can’t even afford to pay for one Game (nearly 50$) in half a year and that’s a fact…but yet without the Copyright, there are guys like me who play hundreds over hundreds of games just in a year…
One possible way is not buying them or buying the ones which we have planned for months such as a lot of our counterparts in the world. And I believe it’s the right way however I don’t know why I just can’t bring myself to do so…maybe that’s because I’m too fucked up by now !
The other possible way is to pirate them and then burn in Hell!
It’s up to you to decide!

P.S: Gonna’ have to Move to the Open Source Industry! Wish the Video Games industry would give more attention to the OS World!
